Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

One address, one purpose, one sender. Here is exactly what happens to your email when you subscribe.

Who handles your data

Guglielmo Vaccaro, as a private individual. There is no company behind this site: the person who sends the newsletter and the person who wrote this page are the same one.

What is collected

Your email address, and nothing else. No name, no company, no location. beehiiv, the service that sends the newsletter, also records whether you opened an email and which links you clicked, so I can tell which issues were worth writing.

Why, and on what basis

To send you the newsletter, and only that. The legal basis is your consent under article 6.1.a of the GDPR, given when you submit the form and confirmed when you click the link in the confirmation email. Without that second click nothing is ever sent to you.

Who else sees it

beehiiv Inc., which sends the emails on my behalf as a data processor. Your address is never sold, rented, traded or shared with anyone else, and no advertiser receives it.

Where it is stored

On beehiiv servers in the United States, under the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission for transfers outside the EU.

How long it is kept

For as long as you stay subscribed. When you unsubscribe the address is kept only as a suppression record, so that a future import cannot accidentally add you back. Ask me and I will delete it outright.

What you can ask for

Access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent at any time. Withdrawing does not affect anything sent before. If you think your data is being mishandled you can also complain to your national data protection authority; in Italy that is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

How to leave

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click, effective immediately, no questions and no confirmation step.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics and does not track your visit. Nothing is stored in your browser, which is also why you never saw a cookie banner here.
